White Beauty

White Beauty is a Nordic collaboration about radicalisation that displays and deconstructs Scandinavian images and landscapes. The performance plunges into Nordic traditions and into the emotionally loaded rhetoric and aesthetics that feed current radicalisation processes in the Nordic countries. It makes visible the structures where radicalisation can take place.

In White Beauty we party hard, play games and get drunk off Scandinavia. Entertainment is mixed with awkwardness and serenity with self-satisfaction. ”Hygge” can leave a bad taste in the mouth.

White Beauty is a coproduction with Korjaamo Theatre (Finland) and BIT Teatergarasjen (Norway). The premiere was held at Korjaamo Theatre (Helsinki) on the 29th of September (other performances at Korjaamo on 30.9 & 1.10). At BIT Teatergarasjen White Beauty was performed on the 28th of October as part of METEOR 2017 festival.
